Don't Explain was a song originally written and sung by The Late Great Billie Holiday in collaboration with Arthur Herzog Jr all the way back in 1944! I always loved the depth of raw emotion in this song. And such bitter-sweet sadness of it. I wanted to capture that depth of sad and mellowness in this cover. My Abstract painting to compliment the song really seemed to illustrate the way those lies look in a feeling way.
